Newsmax : “There Will Be No Winners in the Second Civil War“

The largest portal Newsmax published my new article “There Will Be No Winners in the Second Civil War“:

Earlier this week, CNN news anchor Don Lemon stated that the president “is clearly trying to ignite a civil war in this country.” In response to Lemon’s words, historian and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said in an interview on “Tucker Carlson Tonight”: “I think we should take the threat of civil war very seriously.”

Referencing Dennis Prager’s piece, “America’s Second Civil War,” Gingrich added, “What you’re seeing with Antifa, what you’re seeing on college campuses, what you’re seeing, to some extent, in the bureaucracy, is a real division of the country. …I wish we could all sing Kumbaya and come together but I don’t think that’s what’s gonna happen. …As a historian, my view is pretty straightforward: one side or the other wins.”

America is already so rife with extremists on both sides of the political aisle that many people see war not only as imminent, but as virtually inevitable. If that’s the case, we’d better get busy digging ourselves bunkers… and graves.

And not just in the U.S. A civil war in America will not end in America. If the country plunges into battle, many will be vying for the loot. China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, and others will destroy whatever the war doesn’t, the American empire will become history, and a third world war, with multiple nuclear powers, will follow. There will be no winners because, to quote Machiavelli, “Wars begin when you will, but they do not end when you please.”

Is there really no alternative?

I think there is, or I wouldn’t be writing here. In my previous column, I noted that President Trump needs to take a more appeasing tone in order to start building national cohesion. It’s great to state, “No matter our color, creed, religion or political party, we are ALL AMERICANS FIRST,” but doing so right after the Charlottesville murderous car ramming is the epitome of poor timing. Such statements should be part of the president’s routine, not rare occasions.

Trump excels in using social media. If he uses it to broadcast a constant stream of unifying messages, notwithstanding the cynicism of the press, he will win over the American people’s hearts regardless of their political affiliation.

I wholly agree that America requires massive infrastructure projects. But the real infrastructure of the country is its people, not its asphalt roads or railroads. The administration needs to implement ASAP solidarity programs that will create a uniform American identity. People need to learn that an ideology that undermines freedom of speech, freedom of religious practice, and freedom of the press, cannot use the First Amendment to legitimize itself.

Even more importantly, people need to learn that plurality of views is not a recipe for war; it is precisely what has made America great in the first place. When people of different approaches and views strive for the same goal, they are far more likely to achieve it. If the goal is the well-being of all Americans, the entire country will benefit from it, and this goal should top the priority list of every American.

It might not seem possible to patch up the divided United States, but
1) no one has ever sincerely tried, and
2) the other option is war.

With my students, I have developed simple and easily applicable techniques that create a sense of unity and connection even among the most unlikely populations, such as Israeli Jews and Palestinian Arabs, ultra-Orthodox and devout agnostics, and affluent and needy. These techniques work wonders wherever we have tried them: North America, Western and Eastern Europe, and in Israel.

Today’s world is pushing toward connection. The interconnectedness of reality requires that we learn how to work in a world where everyone is dependent on everyone else. When we think in terms of “one side or the other wins,” we cannot succeed because we are perpetuating a mindset of separation. This will inevitably create unions of extremists that will feed on hatred of the other side, which in turn will lead to war. The only way to avoid this route is to make unity mainstream.

If this seems unrealistic, think of your own body. Without the unity of radically different organs all working in unison for the common cause of sustaining you and keeping you healthy, you would not exist. Therefore, unity is not unrealistic; it is the only realistic option for society.

The sooner we make American solidarity the prime value of America, the better it is for the entire country. Any decision that Trump’s administration and Congress make from here on should first and foremost promote unity and solidarity because this is truly the only realistic option.

Blitz Of Kabbalah Tips – 3/5/17, Part 1

laitman_961.2Question: Is it possible to correlate the structure of the soul with the structure of our body? If so, how?

Answer: Absolutely not. A soul is a soul and a body is a body. We don’t need to imagine our corporeal body as something that is eternal and perfect. It is the ordinary animate level. And the soul is the next level above the animate level.

Question: What is the creation and how are we related to it?

Answer: We are parts of creation. Our role is to begin to consciously react to what is happening to us.

Question: What is a Partzuf?

Answer: The word “Partzuf” means “face” in Hebrew. The Partzuf or the face are called the ten Sefirot, which illuminate when they are properly selected and assembled.

Question: Are the Sefirot filters?

Answer: A Sefira is a filter of the upper Light. What is left in it after it filters the Light turns into our feelings.

Question: Is Malchut the original matter?

Answer: The original matter is the desire in Keter, which develops all the way to the very last state in Malchut.

Question: Is a point and a line of a letter the same as zero and one, a certain code, a program?

Answer: A point is a desire and a line is its direction.

Why Are We Afraid To Part With Life

Laitman_198.jpgQuestion: Why is it terrible for people to end their lives early, even if it is in continuous suffering?

Answer: Because this is a natural, instinctive desire of man to exist in any form. So it’s laid in us by nature in accordance with the upper system.

The fact is that our lives in the animal (material) body does not make any sense if we do not develop it during it and do not move to the next stage—into a spiritual state. Then we simply end our material existence.

Our Reshimot (informational basis of the spiritual essence) passes from one body to another.

The material body of man refers to the animal level. With it there is no transformation, except like animals. And what is called the point in the heart—a spiritual Reshimo or information record from the highest level, must be implemented. It is eternal. Therefore, we must reach the level of its realization during this life. The science of Kabbalah explains exactly this.

It says that by the end of the sixth millennium or, perhaps even earlier, all people must reach the highest level as an outcome.

That animal state in which we now exist on our small planet will disappear from our sensation, and with it the material world will disappear because it exists only in our imagination. And we will already be in a new dimension on a new level at which the spiritual Reshimo will be self-realized.

But because today we feel our animal life as the only existing one, we have a serious sense of fear: “What will happen to us? What’s going on, why do we die?”

I have met Kabbalists in my life that existed in the sensation of both worlds, and interestingly, their perception of the world was completely different. They absolutely did not suffer from the fact that they must die, and they knew beforehand that they were dying.

My teacher Rabash explained this very simply: “As in the evening you take off your dirty shirt and throw it into the wash, the same feeling is created when you finish this life.”

You remain in the upper world, which you discovered in this life, and therefore nothing leaves you. You simply part with your little animal part, which once existed and which constantly bored you, and now you must feed your “animal,” then wash it, then put it to bed, etc.

But as soon as you began to comprehend the upper world, the most important thing for you was its feeling: how to expand it, how to diversify, and how to raise it. This you continue to do.

The person who studies Kabbalah must attain the sensation of the highest degree. In our time, everyone can do it. And then we will no longer have any fear of parting with our animal body.

A Person Is The Enemy Of His Personal Time

laitman_739Question: When is time a person’s enemy?

Answer: Time is not a person’s enemy; the person is the enemy of his own time.

Within a person is a device through which he determines time from zero to infinity at any speed. Time is variable. Even physicists say this, but just not in our coordinates.

The wisdom of Kabbalah differs from quantum physics and other exact sciences in that it brings a person into a space where he is outside of time, where he can change himself in his own axes of freedom. But to do this, it is necessary to acquire tools (Kelim), other senses of perception.

Why Is The Soul Made Of Ten Sefirot?

laitman_610_1Question: Why is the soul made of or does it have to be made of ten Sefirot?

Answer: Because according to the physical spreading of the Light unto the desire, there cannot be a complete action if the Light does not go through the ten Sefirot and does not attain the last tenth Sefira, the tenth.

In it the Light finds the desire that is right for it, which means the right attribute that catches the Light and receives it inside.

When Does Freedom Of Choice Begin?

laitman_232.06Question: How is it possible to speak about freedom of choice with people who are not aware that their ego is managed by the Creator? Is freedom of choice acquired the first time a person opens a book about the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: When a person just begins to learn the wisdom of Kabbalah, he still does not have any freedom of choice.

Freedom of choice appears only after a number of years of study when a person gets the opportunity to perceive the upper Light, to attract it to him, to be found in the two lines—right and left—and to manage them like a rider manages a horse with two reins. A person then acquires true freedom of choice.

Freedom of choice comes to be expressed in the middle part of Tifferet, in the middle line. A person who studies the wisdom of Kabbalah must work on himself for a number of years in order to attain freedom of choice.
