Question: Where did the congresses come from? Are there historical facts indicating that Kabbalists used to bring thousands of people together and hold such events, or is this something new?

Answer: There is nothing new here, and we are not inventing anything.

Kabbalah is built on the laws of the upper world; therefore, in everything we do, we must find out whether it is in accordance to its laws. Otherwise, it might harm us.

Conventions were held even in ancient Israel when people were in attainment of the upper world.

Kabbalists used to come to the Temple in Jerusalem three times a year: on Sukkot, Pesach, and Shavuot in order to study and to participate in the study and the meals with everyone. What is more, throughout the year people used to come to the Temple to study and have meals together. This was considered a very good deed, and we may even say, a Godly one.
