Desire is called a place. There are auxiliary, secondary desires and there are basic desires that manifest as a result of proper corrections of secondary desires. They are those points where the Creator [1] is revealed.
The most important of them is called the Temple [2], the Holy of Holies in the Temple, and so on, and there are lower points that are located anywhere in the land of Israel. That is, they all are directed to the Creator, but are included in the common desire called the land of Israel where ten people gather in friendship and unity.
Otherwise, you won’t build the place where the Creator is revealed. After all, He can be revealed not only in Jerusalem, but among any ten people who unite above egoism in order to become similar [3] to the Creator in their unity.
There are plenty of stories that people performed many kind deeds for each other exactly in Jerusalem and that is why the Temple was built there. But, in principle, it appears in any place where unity exists.
