Why Do We Need Corporeal Altruism?
Question: Why should I give and who should I give to? Why do we need corporeal altruism and what does that have to do with the soul?
Answer: When we begin to engage in creating the soul inside us and attaining it, it is not corporeal altruism anymore.
No one is calling on people to walk around in the streets and to give out charity, help the poor and the miserable, and protect the wildlife and the ecology. We see that such actions do not yield the desired outcome and don’t actually help anyone.
When we speak about bestowal, we refer to the bestowal of one’s knowledge about the meaning of life.
The main thing for us is the question about the meaning of life: “What am I living for?” and this is precisely what we have to convey, to invoke in other people and to show them how this meaning is revealed.
