“You Shall Not Eat The Blood”

laitman_554Torah, Deuteronomy 12:16 However, you shall not eat the blood; you shall spill it on the ground like water.

Blood represents the form of the Upper Light that we cannot receive because it exists in our biggest egoistic desire that will be corrected only in the final correction.

Only approaching the end of the 6,000-year period (6,000 degrees beginning from Adam) can we correct this desire. Moreover, we just prepare this desire and it will be corrected not by us, but by the Upper Light that comes from above and corrects it.

This action is called “Rav poalim mekabtziel.” This is the coming of the Messiah, the Upper Light. Then the lowest, heaviest egoistic layer is corrected and filled with the Light that is called blood.

Therefore, the most important thing, when using meat, is to free it from blood. All the rituals associated with blood, with a test for blood, with blood output, etc. are based on the fact that this is a natural life for our egoism and we can correct it only at the very last stage.

In addition, such concepts as pure or impure blood also revolve around this: how we can and how we cannot use it, how to be purified from blood and at the same time use it in the correct form, in order to develop. After all, if blood is the basis for life, it is impossible to exist without it.

Blood rises from the uterus to the breasts of the breastfeeding woman, turns into milk that is ready for feeding a baby; that is, it turns from red (the quality of reception) to white (the quality of bestowal).

Does A Kabbalist See The Level Of The Soul?

laitman_530Question: Do you see the level of the soul of your students and of others?

Answer: A Kabbalist sees the state his student is in, as well as the future, in other words, how far this person can advance, but he doesn’t say anything. The free choice remains the student’s.

Attaining The Secrets Of Nature

laitman_231_01Question: Can humanity overcome the crisis by a method other than the wisdom of Kabbalah, like religion and love of others, for example? And why is it necessarily the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: The wisdom of Kabbalah is a science, and its laws are revealed to us as we learn about nature, just like the laws of physics, chemistry, etc. Studying and exploring nature reveal them.

We receive data and summarize it, and thus penetrate the secrets of the world around us, and this is also how Kabbalists penetrate the secrets of nature. The wisdom of Kabbalah tells us how we can do that, and by using it anyone can become a scientist and an explorer and attain the depths of nature and even see the next phase of human evolution. A person can achieve all that. It isn’t an artificial system of certain exercises.

There is only one thing we should do, we should gather and bring all of humanity  together into one whole. This is where nature is leading us by showing us how to fulfill that.

A Woman’s Question

Laitman_632_3Question: Why is the question most frequently asked by women about how to learn to control our fate?

Answer: Controlling our fate is what the wisdom of Kabbalah engages in. Men are more interested in the purely egoistic question of whether there is life after death. Women are interested in the more sublime question of how we can control our fate. This is indeed a female question.

My teacher Rabash used to say that a man has many opportunities to enjoy this world; he enjoys even if he just looks at a woman, while a woman doesn’t have any pleasure when she looks at a man.

In other words, a woman needs a more convincing argument for her existence. She cannot simply feel pleasure by anything, and this is the reason that a woman in our world embodies a much deeper egoism than a man.

This is what the psychological difference between a man and a woman comes down to, the male and female inclinations and their self-fulfillment.

The self-fulfillment of men and women can be one when they connect and are incorporated into each other, and it is through the right connection of their internal attributes that they can attain unity. It isn’t when they merge but when they remain different and increasingly more opposite and at the same time connected above their differences in order to attain the upper goal.

Time Travel

Laitman_132Question: What is the meaning of the word “history” according to the wisdom of Kabbalah if there is no time in spirituality?

Answer: Everything that happens in the corporeal world is an outcome of the upper roots that descend into our world, and so our world is a reflection of those upper roots.

In other words, different forces are revealed in the system of the upper worlds on the spiritual level and their corporeal reflection is expressed in matter in our world. Therefore human history allows us to talk about spiritual events. Although there is no spirituality in corporeal actions, they reflect the spiritual roots. The language of the branches of our world enables us to speak about spiritual processes.

As for time, Kabbalists can travel along the time axis from the beginning of the creation to its end, except for one state: a state that can be described as a “point.” On the one hand, it is a state of zero, and on the other hand, it is a state of 100%. It is the state from which the beginning of creation and its end gradually descend, and the time axis runs between them from 0 to final correction (Gmar Tikkun), the end of correction, until the end of 6,000 years.

timetravel

Suppose I, meaning my soul, my Partzuf, my spiritual body (Rosh, Toch, Sof), am in the middle of the time axis, if I have a Masach (screen) over my egoism, I can time travel wherever I want to, backward or forward. This means that by using the Masach I can change and shape my egoism to bestowal, love, and connection, and move along the time axis. The initial point on the time axis is Adam’s sin, and the final point is the coming of the Messiah. I can be in the year 1000 after Adam or at any other point.

Who wouldn’t like to time travel? Humanity has always dreamed of it! In the spiritual world it is possible, but not in our world, although we can also see the outcome here. Baal HaSulam tells us about it in the book Shamati where he says that Abraham, for example, told Isaac something. How could he know what Abraham and Isaac had spoken about in the desert or in the olive grove? A Kabbalist enters the state of Abraham and thus understands the information that Abraham had to convey now to the next state, Isaac, and this is what he tells us about.

Question: Can we travel in the body?

Answer: What does it mean “in the body”? You feel these feelings, you are in them; you enter them. When Baal HaSulam read the commentaries of Chaim Vital to the The Tree of Life by the Ari, which were written 600 years ago, he called out in wonder, “but what you wrote here isn’t what I told you to write!” That is, he entered the Ari’s soul.

Kabbalists who wrote about their attainments lived in two worlds: in our world and in the spiritual world. Let’s assume, strictly hypothetically, that I could ascend to the level of the Ari. I would be able to feel everything he felt, said, and did then.

Question: Will we be able to time travel while being in our body?

Answer: You have to enter the egoism in order to imagine both our body and all the physical structure of our world. The point is that the corporeal state actually doesn’t exist. It is the outcome of the egoism that is parallel to the spiritual state, because everything we see around us is an unrealistic world that is depicted in our desire.

No one can change himself and be totally like the Ari. I can resemble him by entering his state, but I cannot be like him and at the same time also feel the events he underwent during his lifetime, which means to be in the 16th century in the northern part of Israel. A Kabbalist cannot enter a person’s physical body or his corporeal attributes, but only his spiritual state. You can attain all these states spiritually but not physically.
