A Person’s Only Task

Question: In the Rabash article, “What the Concept of Failure Is in the Work,” what is the meaning of failure?

Answer: Attributing everything that happens with a person to the Creator [1] sums up the only task a person has in our world, meaning when the Creator is concealed. The only force that exists in creation determines all the thoughts, desires, and actions that a person has, “There is none else beside Him” (Deuteronomy 4:35).

It seems to a person that he has desires and thoughts; this is a discovery of the concealment of the Creator. In this concealment, which is called, “this world,” a person’s task is to attribute everything that happens to the Creator from the start. The only sin, mistake, or iniquity is that a person doesn’t attribute everything to the Creator.

Accordingly, the only task of a person is to attribute all thoughts, desires and actions to their source, the Creator, and to see himself as a result of all the actions of the Creator.
