Remember How You Were

laitman_278_03Torah, Deuteronomy 9:6 – 9:7: You shall know that, not because of your righteousness, the Lord, your God, gives you this land to possess it; for you are a stiff-necked people.

Remember do not forget, how you angered the Lord, your God, in the desert; from the day that you went out of the land of Egypt, until you came to this place, you have been rebelling against the Lord.

Comment: At this stage it is seemingly said, “Remember how you were…”

Answer: In order to correct your egoistic qualities you must resurrect them in yourself, raise them again and start to correct them. Once you rejected them and passed over them, but that isn’t enough.

This is just a degree that is called “bestowal in order to bestow.” Now you must take your qualities and transform them inversely into opposite ones. So it seems that here the previous stages are remembered.
