Me And My Seven Billion Internal Desires

Laitman_115_04Torah, “Deuteronomy,” 5:25 – 5:28: And the Lord heard the sound of your words when you spoke to me, and the Lord said to me, “I have heard the sound of the words of this people that they have spoken to you; they have done well in all that they have spoken. Would that their hearts be like this, to fear Me and to keep all My commandments all the days, that it might be well with them and with their children forever! Go say to them, ‘Return to your tents.’ But as for you, stand here with Me, and I will speak to you all the commandments, the statutes, and the ordinances which you will teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess.”

Moses starts to line people up dividing them into tens, hundreds, thousands, etc. This is a proper distribution of the desires to their levels and their gradual correction in accordance with the depth of their egoism.

Desires in a person mean people and their individual personalities. This is what a person sees outside of him.

All those seven billion I see around me are my internal desires that I perceive as existing outside of me. Had I not seen them outside of myself, I wouldn’t feel them the way I do now. And when they seem to me to be living in this world, I immediately begin to feel that I confront them.

And then who am I? I am an uncorrected point in the heart. Therefore, I feel myself in a confrontation with them. I have to reach love toward each one of them despite the egoism dividing us.

In other words, my egoistic heart is in front of me in the form of external objects. Only when I’m ready to contain the entire outside world, can I say that I am corrected.

But we don’t need to correct ourselves. We don’t have any forces and predispositions for it. We must give it all to the care of the Upper Light and allow Him to do it! Therefore, the Kabbalistic method is intended for placing ourselves under the influence of the Upper Light.

And when a person begins to realize this, his life becomes easy. Therefore it is said, “To those who fear me, tremble before me, the Torah seems very simple.”
