Covenant With Every Generation

laitman_740_03Torah, “Deuteronomy,” 5:01- 5:03: And Moses called all Israel and said to them, “Hear, O Israel, the statutes and ordinances which I speak in your ears this day, and learn them, and observe [them] to do them. The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. Not with our forefathers did the Lord make this covenant, but with us, we, all of whom are here alive today.

The covenant is made with every generation. This is the program of creation that permeates all generations and which we must fulfill until the end of our life on Earth.

We must bring our world, balance, knowledge of the Creator, and raise humanity to the next degree, where they will fully reveal the upper force and begin to exist in two worlds simultaneously: in our world and in the upper world.

Torah, “Deuteronomy,” 05:04 – 05:07: Face to face, the Lord spoke with you at the mountain out of the midst of the fire: (and I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to tell you the word of the Lord, for you were afraid of the fire, and you did not go up on the mountain) saying, “I am the Lord your God, Who took you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall not have the gods of others in My presence.”

There is only one upper force that controls everything with absolute good.

To the extent that a person is equivalent to it, he feels this good and exists in it. And to the extent that he is opposite to the upper force, he feels lack of good, a so-called “eclipse” of benevolence relative to himself, and he must understand that he obscures himself from the Creator.

Therefore, we need to neutralize the darkness through our internal correction and change our egoistic perception of reality to an altruistic one.

It is written, “You shall not have the gods of others in My presence”; that is, above all value the quality of bestowal and love.

Question: It is said here that Moses stood between the Lord and the people. What do I, as a person, place between the Creator and myself?

Answer: The quality called Moses is a quality of absolute bestowal and love through which, like through a collecting lens, the governance of the Creator passes to us.

Moses is an example for everybody. Therefore he gives instructions to the children of Israel for every action. And those who fulfill these instructions are in complete agreement with the Creator.

Comment: The Torah specifies the reason why people should look at everything through the quality of Moses: “For you were afraid of the fire, and you did not go up on the mountain.”

Answer: The children of Israel didn’t want to go up on the mountain. They had neither the right nor the ability to do so because they were afraid that they wouldn’t be able to withstand the conditions they were given.

And only the nation’s quality called Moses, like pure Bina, is able to climb the mountain, be in the covenant, in the agreement, and in connection with the Creator. Therefore, the entire Light and the entire Torah come through the spiritual quality called Moses.
