Question: Why don’t we have a mixed Kabbalistic group of men and women so that they will be able to better complement one another?
Answer: This is impossible because a woman [1] unbalances the men’s group.
The point is that a man is naturally attracted to women and their appearance arouses different feelings in him, which distract him from the spiritual work.
Therefore, there is no need for any contact or connection between men and women during the study. The men are forbidden to see women during the study so that they will not be distracted from the spiritual intention while the women can naturally watch the men peacefully as they actually receive the spiritual potential from them.
Thus, there should be a special atmosphere where men engage in spiritual work so that the women will not disturb them.
