Foreign Desires

laitman_554The Torah, Numbers 3:10: You shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall keep their Kehunah; any outsider [non-Cohen] who approaches shall be put to death.

If we examine this from the perspective of desires and their correction, an outsider is a desire that isn’t ready for correction and therefore cannot enter the Tabernacle.

He must be isolated and gotten rid of, expelled beyond the camp borders, and given time to wait internally, and then accepted gradually—in other words, to be absorbed somehow, for example, to get married or to build a family. This means drawing this desire to you if possible. However, if he remains a stranger, then he has no right to remain in the camp. This is the reason he is taken out of the camp and put to death because the concept of death refers to his mutual cooperation with the Light.
