Guiding The World Towards The Good

laitman_936Comment: Historians began to speak about the appearance of anti-Semitism not long before the destruction of the second Temple. But even before then a particular hostility toward the Jews existed. But true anti-Semitism appeared specifically at the moment that the Jews began to scatter all over the world.

Answer: Anti-Semitism appeared when the Jews shattered the good connections between them. Hatred towards them appeared precisely at this moment because they stopped being the source of good in the world.

As long as they were connected, the good force reached the world through them. The moment that they lost this connection in the time of Rabbi Akiva, in the period of the destruction of the second Temple, the world began to sink into darkness, and simultaneously hatred towards the Jews began to increase.

And rightly so, because when we don’t carry out our role, we convey a force to the world that unites them in common hatred towards us. But if we connect and unite above all the contradictions between us, we guide humanity towards the good.

Leaving Egypt…

laitman_749_03The Torah is Light that descends unto each of us and corrects our individual egoism and connects us through the corrected states with everyone else until we all become one whole that cannot be separated.

The Torah speaks about man’s spiritual correction. The book of “Genesis” tells us about the essential basis of creation. It tells us that the Creator didn’t create anything but evil: “I have created the evil inclination (egoism)… I have created the Torah as a spice.”

But when did He give us the Torah? Only after the exodus from Egypt at Mt. Sinai because the evil inclination has to be revealed in a person and in all of humanity first. The ego has to show itself as harmful to man as the force that destroys man, his life, and most importantly, the force that separates man from the Creator, from wholeness.

A person must understand unity with the upper force is the perfect state and must not just listen to stories about it because he is not attracted to it and he has a completely different definitions as to what it means. It is only when we begin to realize that wholeness is the attribute of love and bestowal that the rule “love thy friends as thyself” becomes our goal. But we feel that we are in the opposite state: in mutual hatred, rejection, and distant from one another.

Recognizing the true state of our nature is called the exodus from Egypt, and when we reach Mt. Sinai we know exactly who we are, what we are, and what we want. After all, the point of Moses exists in each of us and tells us we want to leave our Pharaoh. We have left him a bit, but in fact he is inside us. When we are in Egypt we believe that Pharaoh dominates us from the outside, but now we begin to realize that he is deep inside us and we are so close to him that now we have to get rid of him, or rather to correct him.

In other words, the attribute of love and goodness exists only in the corrected egoistic attribute: we were given matter that is not corrected and we have to correct it. That’s all! There is no other matter. Thus we had to be in Egypt so that we would feel that I am Pharaoh and that I really want to get of this state. When I ascend a bit above the attribute of Egypt in me, I want to be free of him, and then it means that I have exited Egypt. But it is only theoretically and not in matter yet.

The Creator is the attribute of bestowal. If we change our egoism to bestowal, this attribute will appear in us.

The Wisdom About The Essence Of Life

Dr. Michael LaitmanThe wisdom of Kabbalah was concealed for two thousand years from the moment of the writing of The Book of Zohar. The people of Israel went into exile after falling from the spiritual height of love of others to unfounded hatred in what is called the destruction of the Beit HaMikdash (Temple).

Thus, the wisdom of Kabbalah was concealed and only traditional Judaism remained, known to everyone until today.

The wisdom of Kabbalah needed to be concealed from then until our time. And in the 20th century, the giant Kabbalist Rav Yehudah Ashlag came and wrote Kabbalistic books through which we can awaken ourselves to learn, begin to study, to know, to understand, to feel, and to discover the real world we live in. In principle, our world is only a minute sphere within a vast world that we don’t feel. Modern physics explains that there is a reality beyond our world, but it is incapable of finding it.

After all, in order to reveal the spiritual world that manages our lives, we need different instruments that we acquire only through studying the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Rav Yehudah Ashlag wrote books with whose help we can begin to learn and discover what world we are in, what we are living for, and what the purpose of our lives is. He wrote a commentary on The Book of Zohar, thanks to which we can understand this book; he wrote many articles and the six volumes of the Study of the Ten Sefirot, the greatest textbook on the wisdom of Kabbalah that exists as of today.

By studying these source books, we can understand what the meaning of our lives is, what kind of reality we are living in, what kind of a process of development we are in, who manages us, and how we can become free people so that we can attain freedom of choice. The wisdom of Kabbalah makes it possible to rise above death and above this worldly life. All of this is in our hands.

Rabbi Yehudah Ashlag defined the Wisdom of Kabbalah in the article, “The Teaching of the Kabbalah and Its Essence” like this: “What is the wisdom of Kabbalah? As a whole, the wisdom of Kabbalah concerns the revelation of Godliness, arranged on its path in all its aspects—those that have emerged in the worlds and those that are destined to be revealed, and in all the manners that can ever appear in the worlds, to the end of time.”

This means that the wisdom of Kabbalah is a method of discovery. It reveals all of creation and the stages of development from this moment until the end of all generations. We can discover what was in the past and what will happen in the future, moving freely above time in every direction from that point we are in now.

The Jews Are Guilty Of What?

laitman_560Unconsciously the nations of the world demand the Kabbalistic method from us. This even began in ancient Babylon when we disconnected from the rest through our method of existence and seeing the structure of the world and its purpose.

We began to perceive the system of nature from within ourselves as it truly is, and we began to feel that there are two opposing forces found in nature: positive and negative. Both forces come from the same source, but awaken relative to us as different. Thus, we can work with them,  and with their help learn about the part of nature that is concealed from us called the upper world, the system of management, and enter into it so that we are influenced by it through our mutual action. And it already is influencing the entire world.

But there is a problem. If we influence the entire system of management correctly and it influences the world, we seem to bless all of humanity. But if we influence it incorrectly, not connecting between us sufficiently, then ultimately we have a bad influence on the world. In other words, it appears that we are to “run the world”.

Comment: So the influence of the Jews on the world is not done directly, but through the influence of the higher power?

Answer: It is not important how it is implemented. The main thing is that the nations of the world feel their dependence on the Jews, and this is what they cannot tolerate! And if things are bad for them, then we are to blame! This is the source of hatred, because the world is in a terrible condition. And the Jews are always guilty because they have the possibility of influencing the world through a higher power that they don’t understand: It has no image, it is impossible to perceive, it is impossible to appease, it is impossible to bring it a sacrifice, it is impossible to do anything with it.

So how is it possible to at least get along somehow? There is no way!

Hearing The Creator’s Voice

laitman_276_02The Torah, “Numbers,” 7:89: When Moses would come into the Tent of Meeting to speak with Him, he would hear the voice speaking to him from the cherubim above the covering which was over the Ark of Testimony, and He spoke to him.

This refers to the state of spiritual contact of the point of Moses in a person with the Creator.

“Voice” refers to the attainment of the Creator by the created being. It is discovered between the two cherubim in the image of birds on the edges of the covering of the Holy Ark which symbolizes the right and the left lines: the attribute of Hassadim (mercy) and the attribute of Din (judgment). When the two lines get close, a person connects the attributes of love and bestowal, egoism and altruism inside him, which operate together for the same unique cause. At the same time the egoism crushes itself under the attribute of love and bestowal.

It is thanks to the rigidity and the sufferings that a person can now truly appreciate the connection, the love and mutual cooperation with the Creator. Otherwise, it is impossible to appreciate this state; it is simply impossible! A person doesn’t have the proper sensations and it is like asking a child: “Kiss me.” He approaches you and automatically pecks your cheek without really feeling anything.

The feelings emerge only if nothing about the past is forgotten and is even revealed more clearly. To the extent that the past appears to a person, he can assume what the near future holds for him because the past and the future have to be balanced and connected in one feeling of the Creator. The Creator appears between the two cherubim, the two opposite lines, the egoism and the altruism. The Godly voice, His revelation, is born between them. It is only the point of Moses in us that is in contact with the Creator and can hear His voice.

Hearing is the attribute of Bina, attaining the attribute of Hochma (sight) is fulfilled through Bina, through the attribute of bestowal. When a person ascends from the attribute of Bina to the attribute of Hochma the revelation of the Creator takes place, the contact with Him.

The Tabernacle symbolizes more external attributes that a person has to correct in himself. When the point of Moses is gradually revealed, we begin to delve more deeply into our internal attributes symbolized by the Holy Ark that guards the book of the Torah inside it, the covering of the Holy Ark, the two cherubim at the edges of the covering between which the voice of the Creator is heard. These are all signs of the internal corrections, which we have to gradually perform and reach the state of contact with the Creator who is revealed to us in our understanding, recognition, and attainment, which bring us closer to Him.

There Is No Jewish Lobby

400In the News (russian-bazaar.com): “The times when the Jewish community in the US was Israel’s supportive shield are gone. From now on,  they side with ‘liberal values,’ which are in contrast to the existence of the Jewish state.

“The voice of the American Jewry was unheard during the heated debate about the agreement with Iran. They voted for Obama, who is the embodiment of the liberal ideology and the positive outlook, twice. The Jewish organizations are at the forefront of Obama’s lawyers, and are involved in everything regarding the ‘peace process.’ Some of them do not settle for simply supporting him but also support the New Israel Foundation that subsidizes dozens of ‘human rights’ organizations that engage in defaming the IDF and Israel.

“They argue that Israel shouldn’t object to the agreement with Iran, so as not to subject the American Jews to accusations of double loyalty. The leader of the American Jewish community, Rav Steven Wiess held the same position during WWII, when he didn’t want to bother president Roosevelt with complaints about the sufferings of the Jews in Europe!

“Although the left wing sector, J Street, presents itself as the protector of the Israeli interests, it always sides with the Palestinians thus demanding Obama to put pressure on Israel. The founder of J. Street, Daniel Levi, called the foundation of Israel ‘a step after which everything began to go wrong,’ while at the same time J. Street supports anti Israeli activity on campuses.

“It is hard to believe, but it is actually people who have an Israeli nationality who are behind the crusades against Israel. The dispute in the Jewish community is already spreading among those who argue for a compromise and those who negate the right of Israel to exist. Young Jewish people on campuses are poisoned by the atmosphere of hate towards Israel, just like their peers. It is all because Israel today is challenging the liberal values of American Jews.

“The American publicist Jonathan Rosenblum wrote that for most American Jews Israel has become a hazard and a liability that stands in their way of living peacefully and they would be glad to get rid of it. He says that if the American Jews woke up one day and discovered that Israel has disappeared from the world map they would feel great relief and satisfaction.”

My Comment: I believe that the American Jews want to bury their heads in the sand, but as we have already seen in the past, we will be beaten indiscriminately, regardless of any opinions one might have. Only unity and connection can save our nation and the world.
