In the News (OpEdNews.com): “Right now, the Wisconsin legislature is considering a bill that would make Wisconsin the nation’s 25th right-to-work-for-less state. Workers in right to work-for-less-states make less money, get skimpier health benefits and are more likely to die on the job than the workers in non-right-to-work-for-less states.
“The line from Wisconsin Republicans, of course, is that the proposed right-work-for-less law will improve their state’s economy and help build the middle class. But in reality, the exact opposite will happen.
“That’s because right-to-work-for-less laws bring capitalism a lot closer to its natural, unregulated state, and capitalism in its natural, unregulated state tends toward massive levels of inequality that we usually associate with feudalism.
“It looks a lot like this:
“At the top, there is a very small class of super-rich oligarchs and financiers. They’re the monarchs of capitalist society.
“Below them, there is a slightly larger, but still very, very small, class of professionals and mercantilists —doctors, lawyers, shop-owners — who help keep things running for the super-rich and supply the working poor with their needs. They’re nobles or knights of capitalist society.
“And at the very bottom there is the great mass of people who make up the working poor. They have no wealth — in fact they’re typically in debt most of their lives and can barely survive on what little money they make. They’re the peasants of capitalist society.
“So, for average working people, there is no such thing as a middle class in natural capitalism. Wealth accumulates at the very top among the elites, not among everyday working people. Inequality is the default option, just as it was in medieval Europe under feudalism.
“The only ways a true middle class can emerge in a capitalist society are by massive social upheaval (a middle class emerged after the Black Plague in Europe in the 14th century) or by government intervention.
“Historically, the government is the only thing that can put a check on the growth of feudalism, and it’s what we used here in the United States, from the founding of the republic until the Reagan revolution, to fight the elite and build a middle class from the ground up.
“Tariffs, workers’ rights legislation, the Glass-Steagall Act, higher taxes on the rich, you name it — our government used all of these things to restrain the natural tendency of capitalism towards inequality and to create a middle class.
“But ever since Reagan came to town and brainwashed everyone into believing that ‘government is the problem, not the solution,’ we’ve gutted regulations, busted unions and, as a result, returned capitalism to something resembling its natural, brutish state.
“Inequality is now at a record high, and the richest three percent of the population now controls more than half of all wealth.
“And as if that wasn’t bad enough, the child poverty rate here in the US is now among the worst in the developed world.
“Things have arguably gotten even worse since the recession, as the top one percent has absorbed almost all of the gains of our so-called ‘recovery.’
“The kings and noblemen may be long gone, but here in the US, the business and financial elite reign supreme, and corporate feudalism is the name of the game.”
My Comment: Egoism, if it is not restricted, is itself unlimited, and therefore constantly strives to boundless expansion and fulfillment. The more it gets, the more it feels emptiness. “Having received 100, it desires 200, and having received 200, it desires 400,” according to the law of expansion of the desire by the Light.
And thus until its death; when it dies, there is not even half of the desired in its hands. It is impossible to restrict egoism, because it is the basis of nature, and the only force of nature, except for the Light, the quality of bestowal and love. The pull to balance egoism (the middle line) is only by the knowledge of the wisdom of Kabbalah, which is the science of using egoism correctly.

The Torah, “Leviticus,” 25:35 – 25:36: If your brother becomes destitute and his hand falters beside you, you shall support him [whether] a convert or a resident, so that he can live with you. You shall not take from him interest or increase, and you shall fear your God, and let your brother live with you.
Among all desires that were shattered after the breakage of the common soul and now have to reconnect there exists a system of re-assembling. The closest relationships among broken desires are called “the brotherly connection.”
“A brother” means any closely related state that is associated with us within the system that exists among the souls that we interact with in order to produce common actions.
Besides, the notion of a brother has a root that means, “we all rise to one Father”; so, all of us are brothers. When ascending one step up, there appears among us a different intensity of closeness and mutual interdependency. Later, we all merge and become one whole.
A “slave,” a “newcomer” (a stranger, a convert), and “other nations” stand for various states of the soul that have to come to unity when there are no more “brothers, parents, or children.” Rather, everybody will be one inseparable whole.
Our relationships will become permanent. They won’t be subject to changes because all of them will undergo the process of correction and will attain complete perfection.
In the meantime separation and detachment still exists among us. We must redirect ourselves from internality to external types of connections because it is easier to correct internal liaisons than impact the external ones. We should always proceed from easier states to harder ones in the process of correction.

The Torah, “Leviticus,” 25:31: But the houses in open cities, which do have a wall surrounding them, are to be considered as the field of the land. It may have redemption and shall leave [the purchaser’s possession], in the Jubilee.
Everything that is found outside the walls of the city (outside of the world of Atzilut) is not considered to belong to the city (is uncorrected), because in the world of Atzilut, above the Parsa (border), everything is found in wholeness.
But houses in open cities, which do not have a wall surrounding them, are to be considered as the field of the land. It may have redemption and shall leave [the purchaser’s possession] in the Jubilee.
But the houses in open cities, which do not have a wall surrounding them , are to be considered as the field of the land. These are our uncorrected desires that are for reception for oneself, and not in order to bestow and to love, so they are like a wind in a field.
But when they are in a city, then they must belong to their first and true owners. I can take them from him and pay for them in order to use these characteristics and give them back after that, and so on. This is talking about the flow of the right characteristics from one desire to another.
And, [regarding] the cities of the Levites, the houses of their inherited cities shall forever have a [right of] redemption for the Levites. (Leviticus 25:32).
A “Levite” is the state of a person who is found with the characteristic of bestowal (Bina). So no limitations apply to him: seven years, Jubilee, the annual loan, and so on.
When the city of a Levite is within me, this is not merely Malchut de Atzilut, but Malchut that has risen to Bina de Atzilut, meaning the characteristic of pure bestowal. It is possible to convey it and to do everything we want with it because this characteristic can be in all of the states.
And a field in the open areas of their cities cannot be sold, because it is their eternal inheritance. (Leviticus 25:34).
“And a field in the open areas of their cities” represents those characteristics (AHP) that the Levites must add to themselves. These desires must be corrected and filled with the Light of Hochma.
Only Levites (the characteristic of Bina) can combine them with themselves and continue to receive the Light of Hochma in them. So, “and a field in the open areas of their cities of the Levites” cannot be transferred to other owners. They must correct them by themselves.

Desire On The “House” Level
The Torah, “Leviticus,” 25:30: But if it is not redeemed by the end of a complete year, then that house which is in the city that has a wall, shall remain permanently [the property] of the one who purchased it throughout his generations. It will not leave [his possession] in the Jubilee.
In spiritual work there are laws such that if I don’t correct my characteristics fully (49 = 7 x 7 characteristics, 49 years), then in the 50th year they are all renewed and I will begin to work again. It is interesting that according to the laws of the Torah it is forbidden to sell or buy anything for more than 49 years. I can buy a house, field or plowed field for temporary usage, and after that it goes back to the owner anyway. This means that the person who possesses land (Eretz) must correct that desire (Ratzon) by himself and if he “transmits” it, meaning that he uses other characteristics for his correction, then this is only a temporary state.
So in our world these laws are shownin a very interesting form, for ultimately everything returns to its previous state and the owner remains the owner. When every tribe entered into the land of Israel, they received their inheritance; all of the sections were clearly indicated and nobody had the right to alter the boundaries. Moreover, nobody had the right to marry someone from another tribe.
But we must understand that the Torah is not talking about houses, sheep, or slaves, but about spiritual laws. If the people of Israel begin to use these laws internally, then when they return to the land of Israel they will manifest these laws in their external form also.
Question: In the Torah it is said that if you sell a house, then after a certain period passes, you can buy it back. What is the buying and selling needed for?
Answer: At the end of development everyone must attain one commonly shared desire; the Creator will reveal this desire in the form of a stream of desires, one within the other, and the connections between them.
So we need to get married, have children, be in relationships of buying and selling between us, have familial connections, etc. This means that the connections must fill all of human society with a large number of connections so that all of our characteristics of bestowal to each other will be realized, and through this the one and only power, the Creator, will be revealed.
Comment: Which is to say, everything that happens inside of me, the buying and selling, the flow from desire to desire, this is what we are now seeing in the world…
Answer: Today we have really reached this because no nation and no individual can get along without using the entire world. If we take each one of us and see how he dresses, what he uses in his home, at work, on the street, then we see that we are absolutely connected with the whole world! This is the result of the mixing of desires within a person.
So we call our world global, integral. We are heading towards a state in which the world will exist without borders, without governments. For if I depend on everyone else, what can the government give me? I no longer depend on it. Governments will begin to exhaust themselves and disappear.
Ultimately, full and mutually dependent human relationships will encompass the whole world, and we need to discover this here in an aspect that is not so good because the relationships that exist between us now are absolutely egoistic. If the system is mutually connected, it must be reciprocal, and in the meantime we don’t have reciprocity.
It follows that on the one hand, we are found under strict egoistic conditions, but on the other hand, the same force that manages us, and has already been inviting us to move towards it, is absolutely altruistic. These are two opposing forces and here we need to produce within us a tremendous number of corrections.
We will achieve this. On the one hand, we will be obliged to nullify the borders, and on the other hand, we will see that it is impossible to do it. In this way, we understand that the idea is not about borders; rather, it is about ourselves. We must change ourselves, nullify the borders within us, which means that we must annihilate the distance between me and others. It will be clear to us that we cannot do it ourselves. So we will need the Creator.

Question: What could Baal HaSulam have done when he warned about the danger of Nazism and the Second World War to eliminate this danger? Could he have influenced events somehow?
Answer: Baal HaSulam could have brought with him from Poland to Israel the very strong Jewish community he was the leader of. He was a judge in Warsaw, this was a very respectable role.
He wanted to bring 300 families and had already found sponsors who were willing to buy prefabricated houses for them. He wanted to come with them and establish a Kibbutz, a rural settlement, and teach them the wisdom of connection. This was his dream.
If 300 families had been united around Baal HaSulam, without a doubt, they would have reached the completion of correction.
Question: Then, would the Holocaust not have happened?
Answer: Certainly not! Germany would have gone in a completely different direction. Hitler never would have won, and they wouldn’t have replaced the former chancellor at all.
