Following The Path Of Kabbalists, Part 1

Dr. Michael LaitmanDear Friends, please ask questions about these passages from the great Kabbalists. The commentaries in brackets are mine.

Therefore, come and see how grateful we should be to our teachers, who impart us their sacred Lights and dedicate their souls to do good to our souls. They stand in the middle between the path of harsh torments and the path of repentance. They save us from the netherworld, which is harder than death, and accustom us to reach the heavenly pleasures, the sublime gentleness and the pleasantness that is our share, ready and waiting for us from the very beginning, as we have said above. Each of them operates in his generation, according to the power of his teaching and attainment.

Questions To A Kabbalist

One Comment

  1. Four questions – if I am permitted?

    1. You say “the commentaries in brackets are mine”, yet I see no commentaries in brackets in this short article or the highlited attachments. Does this have any importance?

    2. How does the teacher “save us from the netherworld, and accustom us to reach the heavenly pleasures, the sublime gentleness and the pleasantness that is our share”? How is this accomplished between student and teacher?

    3. How is such attainment possible between student and teacher when, as in my case I have never, and likely never will meet you in person? Also, as a hearing impaired/functionally deaf person I cannot even listen to the lessons you teach on video or live over the internet as I cannot not discern the spoken word? How is this attainment possible in these circumstances?

    4. The power of your teachings I can recognize and comprehend through reading and studying your written words and lessons. I freely recognize and acknowledge that power, but how can I know what level of “attainment” you have achieved, and
how does your level of attainment as a Kabbalist affect me as a student?

    With respect – Cecil
