Everyone Wants To Live Like In The Movies

new-movie1In the News (from The Telegraph): Brazil’s racy telenovelas inspire drop in birth rate, rise in divorce, a new report has found. Over the two decades that were studied, an estimated three million fewer Brazilian babies were born than would have been if telenovelas had never been broadcast, and 800,000 more couples separated or divorced. What is more, they added, “Women living in areas covered by the Globo signal have significantly lower fertility.” Alberto Chong, one of the study’s authors, said the reason for the change was the “aspirational ethos” of the country’s soaps.

  1. How about starting an international day of unity where people are encouraged to rise above any problems going on and simply come together in thought on this day? Kind of like Earth Day has caught on, perhaps this idea would grow too. We could use YouTube and the like to advertise it. Anybody have any ideas on this?
